no linefeeds - lines overwrite each other!

I'm trying to use Polymake-in-a-box for the first time, so please excuse my lack of knowledge on this package. Every line that either I type or output by Polymake overwrites the previous line. So the topmost line of the box is written over and over, making it impossible to read anything. Is there some setting I can change? Thanks.

For me it works fine under Ubuntu with Mozilla Firefox and Chromium, every input/output starts in a new line. Which browser and which operating system do you use? Does the same problem occur when you try it in a different browser?

I was using IE on Windows. Just loaded Firefox and it's working fine there. I'll just stick with this. Thanks for your help.
