gfan missing

Postby richar.sieg » 04 Dec 2015, 22:56

Hi!

I wanted to compute the Groebner fan of an ideal, but it seems that the software gfan is no longer implemented, although its tools are still listed in the documentation. Did something go wrong during my installation? Or is it no longer supported? If so: is there a new way to compute the Groebner fan?

Best regards,

Richard

gfan is not shipped with polymake. So you need to install it separately. For instance, Debian/Ubuntu has a package. Afterwards you start polymake, switch to application fan and then do

Code: Select all

reconfigure "gfan.rules";
