This is from 'pkg info polymake', which reportsI am not sure about the definition for provided but that library it should not be relevant for for any compiled packages.

The port is submitted. If everything works out it should soon be available in the ports tree again.
For now, the port does not include support for libnormaliz. The libnormaliz port currently has several issues. I would like to address these comprehensively instead of providing a bunch of band-aid patches to 'make it work'.
