Here's another update on this. After consulting with Burcin it turned out pretty easy to install pypolymake under Gentoo Linux. I have installed sage via the package manager and after that Burcin's ebuild from the lmona.de tree just worked. I had to set two paths for the installation export SAGE_ROO...
