Re: Integral polyhedra

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question; I have tried changing to lrs and will try reordering the constraints and see what happens. Your comments also implied another approach, but I need a few more pointers.. Every constraint in my problem has the form x_a + x_b + ... + x_k >= 1 with all c...

Integral polyhedra

I am working with "matroid ports" and need to test whether certain polyhedra, given by hyperplanes, are integral (that is, have vertices with integer coordinates) or not. So far I have been using cdd to convert the H-representation to a V-representation and then just seeing whether it is a...

Re: Immediate install failure (RHEL)

Does "no luck" mean that despite you have installed the package mpfr-devel you still get the same error, Yes, I guess that my message was essentially useless, so sorry about that - in fact, I needed to install MPFR from source... However, the GOOD news is that I have managed to successful...

Re: More newbie questions... polymake commands in files

If you want to pass on command line arguments to polymake in this version, then you have to call polymake directly. It is in Resources/polymake/bin/, but you have to set the appropriate library and perl paths first. This basically means executing the export commands you find inside polymake.start p...

Re: More newbie questions... polymake commands in files

You can use both script("scriptfile", arg1, ...); and polymake --script scriptfile ARG1 ARG2 but you have to pay attention to some technical details (like "use application ..." and using "my"). They are explained in the tutorial Scripting . Please feel free to ask agai...

Re: Another installation on Mac OS 10.7 issue

I have uploaded a corrected version of the bundle (now version 4) that hopefully fixes all path issues. Thanks for reporting this error! Thanks... this now works on the laptop. It is really miraculous that -v3 worked on the desktop - could it perhaps have picked up a GMP install somewhere in the sy...

More newbie questions... polymake commands in files

Sorry to bombard the list with trivial questions, but once again I have tried to find the answer in the documentation but failed... I have many polytopes to analyse so I've created a file containing all the necessary polymake commands, thousands of lines of them. $ineq = zero_vector(10) | unit_matri...

Another installation on Mac OS 10.7 issue
